First period (10:00 Am)

Sherri Eure w/STEM for Kids Sarasota
Biomedical Engineering-Lean, Mean Fighting Machine (Tween/Teen; $112/$0)

In this program, participants will explore the various systems of the human body. They will also be introduced to the important role biomedical engineers play in helping doctors improve human health. While learning about the heart, lungs, gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, and skeletal system, participants will design their own cast and lower leg weight bearing prosthetic utilizing the Engineering Design Process. Activities include: Clear the heart vessels!, Let's make urine! , Fracture It!, Cast Making Design Lab, Prosthetic Design Lab.

Crazy8s Math Club (Primary; $75/$5)

Join Bedtime Mathʼs Crazy 8s Club, where youʼll build stuff, run and jump, make music, make a mess - itʼs a totally new kind of math club! Make mischief and memories with activities like Glow-in-the-Dark Geometry, Bouncy Dice Explosion, and Pirate Treasure Hunt. Youʼll get to take home some cool gadgets, too.

Hands-On Science (Preschool; $60/$20)

Time to learn through hands-on discovery! Each class will include experiments and projects allowing students to explore science topics through play. We will have a lot of fun playing together exploring states of matter, magnets, colors, mixtures, our senses, chemical reactions, simple machines, and more. We will erupt mini volcanos, test magnets, make puffy paint and slime, test simple machines, and design a musical instrument. Together we will determine the best recipe for bubbles and test it out to see if it works. We have so many fun activities packed into this class. Come play with us!

Drama Kids (Intermediate/Tween; $80/$0)

Drama Kids’ extensive and comprehensive curriculum was designed by educators, and is the result of more than 35 years of experience and continuous development. While kids are learning and developing new creative thinking styles and skills, they are also developing other important life skills, including public speaking. ALL Drama Kids programs are guaranteed to be both educational and FUN!

second period (11:00 Am)

Sherri Eure w/STEM for Kids Sarasota
Beginner Robotics (Primary/Intermediate; $112/$0)

Participants learn the basics of computer programming and apply it to design robots to complete various challenges. They will design, build and program Lego® WeDo robots and projects, including simple rovers and mechanical innovations. The program is designed for young students who will combine designing, building, problem-solving, computer programming, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication into one exciting program.

Mary Tighe w/Art on the Fly
Global Art Passport (ages 6-8; $80/$30)

We will create an art passport and travel around the world through art to learn about art and its origins around the world.

Fun with Ms. Mary (Preschool/Primary; $65/$15)

Come have Fun with Ms.Mary every Monday morning! Join us on an adventure where we will enjoy each other as we develop the love of learning in our own way. We will have fun, silly days like “Pocket Day, Hat Day, Cookie Day, Messy Day, etc.” Our class focus will be on self-esteem, and learning science, math, and fine and gross motor skills. Fun adventures await with Ms. Mary!

Nancy Pantano w/Happy Healthy Kids
Fun with Food (Intermediate/Tween; $90/$40)

In this class your child will discover that being in the kitchen, creating and preparing their own food can be so much fun! Students will learn some of the basics of kitchen safety including food handling and knife skills as well as hand washing and sanitation. This is a perfect class for beginners and those with some kitchen experience as we work together learning to follow recipes and hone in on some specific cooking skills. Students will learn to make dough and crimp their own pies, melt cheese and make fondue, create a chocolate ganache, and drizzle it over scones as well as make the perfect alfredo sauce , to name a few of the skills they'll be learning here. So, what's on the menu? Here's a preview of a few items. Homemade Nutella baked into brownies. cheese fondue with FUN dippers, personal fruit pies, Scottish Scones with chocolate ganache. The rest is to be discovered in the kitchen!

Gabrielle Lennon-Knowlton
Writing & Acting the Personal Monologue (Teen; $85/$0)

Gabrielle Lennon will teach basic acting and monologue-acting tools, together with techniques for writing personal monologues. This will include class exercises to discover what monologues really are for us personally. All students will write and revise their own personal monologues, in whichever writing genre they wish. Powerful interactive methods will be presented, to demonstrate the compassionate potential of the spoken word.

Silly Sports & Goofy Games (ages 6+; $60/$5)

How shall we play today? Silly Sports & Goofy Games takes the best of competitive sports and cooperative games to create a fun filled experience for all participants. Throughout the semester, we will learn how to play nine different types of games: Terrific Tag to strengthen reflexes and thinking on your feet; Happy Helpers to promote character development; Beautiful Balances to promote interdependence and harmony; Creative Coordination to promote interdependence; Meaningful Movements to promote emotional development; Crazy Challenges to strengthen persistence and team esteem; Ridiculous Relays to foster cooperation and teamwork skills; Silly Sports to promote moral development; and Goofy Games to just have FUN!

third period (1:00 pm)

Chess Club (Intermediate/Tween/Teen; $40/$0)

This will be an opportunity for students to learn from each other while playing chess. Those more advanced students may wish to share an opening or other special chess move with their peers while I work with beginner students.

Body Works (Primary/Intermediate; $80/$15)

We are going to learn about the most amazing machine. That machine is the human body. Together we are going to explore the control center known as the brain and how all the organs work together to keep you running, thinking and healthy. Remember we are going to put on a thinking cap.

Stories & Crafts (Preschool/Primary; $60/$04)

For the first 15 minutes of this class your child will enjoy listening to a classic children's story such as 'Chicka Chicka Boom Boom' by Bill Martin Jr, 'The Rainbow Fish' by Marcus Pfister, 'The Giving Tree' by Shel Silverstein and 'Giraffes Can't Dance' by Giles Andreae.

Intro to Magic (ages 10+; $50/$5)

Welcome to an introduction to magic. Here you will learn your way around cards so well you can change them right in front of people’s eyes! You will even be able to change the entire deck just to fool others, mystify everyone with your illusionary skills! Join to start your 8 week journey to becoming a professional magician.

fourth period (1:00 PM)

Krafty Kids (ages 6-13; $110/$24)

Who doesn't love to craft!? In this class your child will create beautiful yet simple crafts they can take home to keep or gift. No art talent is required here, just a desire to create some fun and colorful things. Paper crafts, painting, glass creating, bubbling and many more ideas for your child to learn how to do on their own at home! Some of the items we will be making are colored, scented bubbles, pop-up cards, dream catchers and luminary jars. Let your child have loads of fun while creating whimsical and useful items in this Krafty Kids Class!

Zhani Glaab
Native & Invasive Reptiles of Florida (ages 9-16; $55/$15)

Budding herpetologists won’t want to miss this class, diving into the 100+ species of scaled reptiles that can be found right here in the state we call home. Students will learn to identify and classify native wildlife, and distinguish them from the dozens of invasive species that have established in our inviting, tropical climate.

Photography Jr. (ages 6-8; $70/$10)

Do you love to take pictures? Join us for this exciting class and we explore new ideas at beautiful G.T Bray. This is a highly creative and collaborative class. Students will be encouraged to share ideas and work together. Activities will include scavenger hunts, Frame it game, Find it game, 50 steps, toy stories, and more. Any picture taking device can be used for this class so grab your cameras and be prepared to have fun creating art together.


fifth period (2:0 pm)

Magnificent Mammals (ages 5-8; $50/$15)

Have you ever wondered what makes mammals so special? If you are an animal lover this is the class for you. Join us as we learn about all our favorite mammals. Classes will include crafts, stories, songs, movement, dancing, and more. Come have fun exploring the world of mammals with us.

Zhani Glaab
Art Collaboration (ages 9-16; $50/$10)

Over the course of 8 weeks, students will enjoy a variety of games and projects that strengthen communication skills, coordination, and critical thinking through collaborative art. Activities will be done in pairs or small groups, with 12+ pieces of art being completed during the course. This class is upbeat, dynamic, and one-of-a-kind.

Psychology & Me (ages 10-15; $65/$10)

Are you an extrovert or an introvert? An optimist or a pessimist? Are you creative? Are you a genius? Are you right-brained or left-brained? What body language do you speak? Can you predict the future? The answers to these questions are clues to your personal style. This semester come discover your own personal style and get to know yourself a little better! By the end of the semester you will have completed a variety of Personal Style Inventories and created a keepsake journal of your discoveries.
